Are you looking for a great way to increase bookings and profits for your coaching business?

While many coaches pour endless hours into building complex websites, there’s a simpler, more powerful solution hiding in plain sight. Enter the landing page: your focused, conversion-driving secret weapon that’s revolutionizing how both beginning and seasoned coaches connect with their ideal clients.

Let’s talk about how a landing page is a game changer for both new and experienced coaches.

What Is a Landing Page?

A landing page is a single page on your website where potential clients “land” after clicking on your ad, social media post, or email link. Its design guides a site visitor toward one specific action, like booking a discovery call or joining your coaching program.

Landing pages are unique because they are simple and fixated on one goal. There’s no menu bar to distract visitors, no sidebar full of blog posts, and no rabbit holes of information distracting them away from the one goal you have for their visit. Every element on the page works together to tell your story and guide visitors toward taking that next critical step with you.

How An Effective Landing Page Helps Your Coaching Business

Llanding pages bridge the gap between someone’s initial interest in coaching and their decision to work with you specifically. It provides the information, assurance, and a clear path forward for turning browsing into booking.

Here’s how having an effective landing page benefits your practice.

1. A landing page gives a great impression to prospective clients.

When someone finds your coaching services, you have only a few seconds to convince them they’re in the right place. If done right, your landing page will immediately speak to the best solution for their problem. A well-designed landing page captures attention and stimulates interest by showing potential clients that you understand them even before having a conversation.

2. A landing page prequalifies potential clients.

It feels amazing to have a steady flow of prealigned clients booking with you. A landing page qualifies prospects before they ever reach your calendar. Your  landing page clearly communicates your coaching  style, methodology, and the type of clients you serve so that the right clients engage with your call to action. With this setup, it attracts the right people while letting others self-select out. The discovery calls you do book are with prospects who already understand your value.

3. A landing page works as your tireless marketing partner.

Have you ever thought about what your coaching business would look like if you had a 24-hour sales team?

A landing page works day in and day out to convert interested prospects into committed clients. It engages with potential clients at any hour and clearly communicates your value and offer while guiding them towards taking action when they’re most interested in your services.

Landing pages work to grow your coaching business while you focus on what you do best.

Effective Landing Page Formula for Coaches

Identify your audience.

While your website may have more general language for a wider audience, a landing page can be very specific to a target demographic. This can be a group working on solving a specific problem, an audience with specific aspirations, and you have one specific solution that helps them meet their goals. Before you start designing your landing page, identify:

  • Who is this for?
  • What are their pain points?
  • What is your solution?
  • How does your solution help them reach a specific outcome?
  • What one action do you want your audience to take?

Begin with a video introduction for the header or hero section.

This is the first section of your landing page and arguably the most important. When potential clients arrive at this page, they are most likely looking for as much information as possible but you don’t want to overwhelm them too fast.

Start by recording a two to three minute introduction video where you introduce yourself and your practice. Your video should immediately inform the viewer that they are in the right place by speaking to their biggest pain points.

Win your audience over with undeniable proof.

Now that your audience knows who you are and what you do, it’s time for you to prove that your method works. This helps you establish trust from the beginning.

Use this space to display any logos of media features, your certifications, or any notable clients (don’t forget to get permission first!). It also helps to include a few powerful statistics that demonstrate your impact in helping clients achieve outcomes. Statistics can include things like:

  • the number of clients you’ve served
  • client success rates
  • client satisfaction scores

Specificity builds trust: Saying “94% client success rate” is more compelling than “high success rate.”

Make your audience feel seen by highlighting their struggles.

In this section, paint a complete picture of your audience’s pain points. This is where you want the person reading your landing page to go “ THIS IS ME!” Demonstrating your knowledge of their issues with your coaching methodology as the solution is a great way to win over a prospective client.

Give your potential coaching client a peek into your process.

When a viewer is scrolling through your landing page, the next question they may be asking themselves is “what is it like to work with this coach?”

In this section, give your potential client a visual roadmap of your unique coaching process. The goal here is to give a brief breakdown of what they can expect. Keep this section high level,  listing between three and five steps. You can give more information during your discovery call.

Seal the deal by using testimonials and reviews from current and past clients.

Choose two to three clients that best represent your coaching practice. These clients should be people who prospective clients can relate to the most.  Each testimonial should tell a brief but complete story of where they started, their biggest challenge, how your coaching strategy helped, and their specific results.

Use real photos where possible and full names to boost credibility.

Be transparent by presenting your solution upfront.

There’s a lot of debate over whether to share pricing on your website. In our opinion, we believe transparency in the beginning is best because it helps potential clients make an informed decision.

Keep your offering crystal clear and brief. Remember, we’re guiding the prospect to take one action on every landing page. Too many options can lead to indecision. For your solution focus on the outcomes you deliver rather than listing features.

Answer any potential question your prospective client is too afraid to ask.

This section will essentially be your frequently asked questions or FAQ section. The previous sections are packed with information but there could still be a few barriers that will stop a potential client from booking your services. Take the time to think about questions or objections that are holding them back and address them clearly.

Here are a few common questions to address:

  • How quickly can I expect results?
  • What if I’m too busy?
  • How is this different from other coaching programs?
  • What happens if it’s not a good fit?

End with urgency but never too much pressure.

The closing section should compel your viewer to spring into action without the use of high-pressure tactics. Focus on what a potential client is missing out on by not taking action now.

Include phrases like:

  • Limited coaching spots available
  • Bonus offers with immediate action
  • Risk-free guarantee

Remember to keep your framing reasonable and truthful

After each section, there should be a CTA that invites the prospect to take the next step. Make each CTA specific to where they are in the decision-making process.

Avoid becoming monotonous in tone when writing your CTAs by using a variation of these:

  • “Book Your Free Strategy Session”
  • “Watch Client Success Stories”
  • “Download Our Coaching Framework”

It’s also important to remember that where your CTA leads is just as important as what it says. This means that you should have a follow up page that includes one of the following:

  • Thank you page with next steps.
  • Immediate email confirmation.
  • Calendar booking integration.
  • Clear timeline of what happens next.

Follow up with an email.

Once your prospect has taken the action you’ve guided them to take, follow up with an email. A follow up email may contain the download you’ve promised, a confirmation of an appointment, or any other supportive content that delivers on the promise of your call-to-action.

Once your new prospect has taken action and invited you into their inbox, the relationship immediately changes. An email conversation can help you deepen the connection and guide them into a sales process.
